Welcome aboard!
Julie & David here - owners and operators of Port Sailing. We are ‘20 year’ locals of Port Macquarie with David having spent a few years here in the seventies as a youngster. We are passionate outdoors people. We have trekked to Annapurna & Everest base camps. We love to bike on our MTB’s and our Adventure motorbike, explore the bush in our 4WD/off-road camper, sea kayak, surf, swim and off course do a bit of sailing.
David was regular crew on a 33-foot racing catamaran over his 12 years at Gove in the NT and enjoyed the fast and furious fun of his Hobie 16 for many years. He holds a Cert II -Coxswains Grade 1 and has completed the RYA 5 day practical ‘Day Skipper’.
Julie has completed the RYA 5 day ‘Competent Crew’ program and is a self-confessed water person. And apart from those ‘very sudden stops’ on the Hobie 16…. she just loves it.
Julie and David are active members and accredited crew of Marine Rescue Port Macquarie and can often be seen aboard the Marine Rescue vessels heading out to a call for assistance or training with fellow members.
